Description:

Alpha-arbutin is the alpha glycoside of hydroquinone, supplied by Brother Enterprises at 99% purity. It acts as a reversible inhibitor of tyrosinase, the key enzyme in melanin synthesis, thereby limiting pigment formation and reducing the visibility of dark spots. Compared with beta-arbutin it is more stable and more efficient. It is used in brightening serums and creams and in spot correctors.
