Description:

Contains D5 (Cyclopentasiloxane): from 06.2027 the EU limits it to 0.1% in leave-on products. We recommend a D5-free alternative: SiCare 2153.

SiCare 2155 is a solution of medium-hardness trimethylsiloxysilicate resin in cyclopentasiloxane (D5) with 50% solids, produced by Hunan Silok Silicone. Its viscosity of 150–250 cps is notably higher than that of the isododecane-based resin solutions. The D5 carrier gives better skin affinity, while the resin provides excellent resistance to pigment migration and elution. It is used in transfer-resistant lip glosses, highlight sticks, gel eyeliners, mascaras and BB creams.
