Description:

KOELOW-080 from Koel Colours Pvt. Ltd. is Acid Blue 80: an anthraquinone water-soluble dye that gives formulations a blue shade. Rather than covering like a pigment, it colours transparently: it dissolves in water and keeps gels, shampoos and liquids clear. The manufacturer lists it for rinse-off cosmetics and hair colour.

• A blue anthraquinone dye, a different chemistry from the triarylmethane blues in the KOELOW range.
• Forms a solution in the water phase, so it does not settle like a pigment.
• Gives a transparent colour with no hiding power; intensity is adjusted by concentration.
• Acid Blue 80; declared in EU ingredient lists as CI 61585.

Applications: Rinse-off cosmetics, hair colour.

• Add to the water phase of the product; as a soluble dye it needs no dispersion.
