BeriCos BeCalmin is hydroxyphenyl propamidobenzoic acid, a synthetic analogue of avenanthramides – the compounds behind the soothing effect of oats. It inhibits the NF-κB signalling pathway by blocking phosphorylation of the p65 subunit, which calms irritation responses in the skin. BERI PHARMA offers it for cosmetics aimed at sensitive, reactive and redness-prone skin, and for products that relieve the feeling of itching.
