Ectoin is 98%-pure ectoin supplied by Brother Enterprises – an extremolyte, that is a protective molecule produced by halophilic bacteria living in extremely saline conditions. Ectoin forms a hydration shell around cells that protects them from stress caused by UV radiation, heat and pollution. It also soothes the skin and supports barrier repair.
