Description:

KOELOS-041 from Koel Colours Pvt. Ltd. is D&C Red No. 27 (Tetrabromotetrachlorofluorescein): a xanthene oil-soluble dye that gives formulations a vivid pink shade. Unlike a pigment, which stays in the formula as dispersed, insoluble particles, this dye goes into solution and colours the oil or solvent phase throughout. The manufacturer lists it for nail polish and lip products.

• Acid, lipophilic form of the dye; its sodium salt, D&C Red No. 28, is the water-soluble KOELOW-041.
• Colours the lipophilic phase from within, with no particles that could settle out.
• Colours from within: the product stays clear and the shade is easy to grade.
• D&C Red No. 27 (Tetrabromotetrachlorofluorescein). INCI: CI 45410.

Applications: Nail polish, lip products.
