Description:
KOELOW-150 is a blue indigoid dye soluble in water, supplied by Koel Colours Pvt. Ltd. as FD&C Blue No. 2 (E-132). A soluble dye differs from a pigment in that it does not stay in the product as a solid particle; it passes into the aqueous solution. The manufacturer lists it for shampoos and rinse-off cosmetics.
- Indigo carmine, a sulphonated, water-soluble derivative of indigo.
- Dissolves in water; simply add it to the water phase, no dispersion required.
- Gives a transparent colour with no hiding power; intensity is adjusted by concentration.
- FD&C Blue No. 2 (E-132); declared in EU ingredient lists as CI 73015.
Applications: Shampoos, rinse-off cosmetics.
