Description:
KOELOW-851 from Koel Colours Pvt. Ltd. is FD&C Yellow No. 6 (E-110): an azo water-soluble dye that gives formulations an orange-yellow shade. Rather than covering like a pigment, it colours transparently: it dissolves in water and keeps gels, shampoos and liquids clear. The manufacturer lists it for shampoos and rinse-off cosmetics.
- Sunset Yellow in soluble form; the aluminium lake of the same dye is available as KOELOR-851.
- Forms a solution in the water phase, so it does not settle like a pigment.
- A clear shade that neither dulls nor clouds the product base.
- FD&C Yellow No. 6 (E-110); declared in EU ingredient lists as CI 15985.
Applications: Shampoos, rinse-off cosmetics.
- Add to the water phase of the product; as a soluble dye it needs no dispersion.
