Description:

SiCare 2554 is diphenyl dimethicone – a polysiloxane carrying two phenyl groups on part of its silicon atoms – with a viscosity of 150 cps and a refractive index of 1.5000. The high phenyl content gives noticeably stronger gloss than the phenyl dimethicone SiCare 2500. It forms a slippery, waterproof film and is the base grade of the 2554 series for lipsticks, lip glosses, hair oils, bi-phase systems and sun care.

• Refractive index of 1.5000 gives intense, mirror-like gloss.
• Adds slip and improves spreading of lip and hair products.
• Forms a waterproof film on skin and hair.
• High flash point (>300°C) supports safe hot processing.

Applications: Lipsticks, lip glosses, hair oils, bi-phase systems and sunscreens.
