Description:

BeriCos HD-100 is hexamidine diisethionate, a salt of an aromatic diamidine with cationic character. It disrupts microbial cell membranes and acts across a broad spectrum, against both bacteria and fungi. In cosmetics it plays a double role: it supports care of blemish-prone skin and the scalp, and it can act as a mild preservative that complements the product’s preservation system.

• As a preservative, hexamidine and its salts are subject to the conditions of Annex V of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.
