DHHB (diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate) is an organic UVA filter with 98% purity, supplied by Brother Enterprises. It is photostable and oil-soluble, with maximum absorption at 354 nm – in the long-wave UVA range. Thanks to its photostability, it works well as the main UVA filter in sunscreens and everyday SPF products. It is particularly valued where long-wave UVA coverage is needed alongside UVB filters.
