Description:
KOELOS-325 is a violet anthraquinone dye soluble in oil, supplied by Koel Colours Pvt. Ltd. as D&C Violet No. 2. A soluble dye behaves differently from a pigment: instead of covering, it colours the medium it dissolves in, which suits formulas that need a transparent oil-phase colour. The manufacturer lists it for nail polish and lip products.
- Oil-soluble version; the sulphonated counterpart, Ext D&C Violet No. 2, is available as KOELOW-325.
- Colours the lipophilic phase from within, with no particles that could settle out.
- Colours from within: the product stays clear and the shade is easy to grade.
- D&C Violet No. 2; declared in EU ingredient lists as CI 60725.
Applications: Nail polish, lip products.
