Description:
KOELOW-180 from Koel Colours Pvt. Ltd. is FD&C Yellow No. 5 (E-102): an azo water-soluble dye that gives formulations a bright yellow shade. Pigments cover through suspended particles, whereas this dye forms a solution in the water phase, which makes it well suited to clear products. Typical applications: shampoos, toiletries and rinse-off cosmetics.
- Tartrazine, one of the most widely used yellow dyes for wash products.
- Forms a solution in the water phase, so it does not settle like a pigment.
- A clear shade that neither dulls nor clouds the product base.
- FD&C Yellow No. 5 (E-102); declared in EU ingredient lists as CI 19140.
Applications: Shampoos, toiletries, rinse-off cosmetics.
- Add to the water phase of the product; as a soluble dye it needs no dispersion.
