Description:

KOELOR-002 is the aluminium lake of D&C Red No. 33 (Acid Red 33), INCI: CI 17200, manufactured by Koel Colours Pvt. Ltd. A lake is made by precipitating a water-soluble dye onto an inorganic alumina substrate, which turns it into an insoluble powder. In a formula it therefore behaves like a pigment and is dispersed rather than dissolved. It delivers a red shade mainly to nail lacquers and colour cosmetics intended for external use.

• Red D&C Red 33 shade in insoluble lake form, easier to control than the soluble dye.
• Disperses in lacquers, oil phases and powder bases like a conventional pigment.
• Positioned by the manufacturer mainly for nail polish and external colour cosmetics.
