Description:
Under the code KOELOW-303, Koel Colours Pvt. Ltd. supplies D&C Red No. 22, a red xanthene dye soluble in water. Once dissolved in the water phase it colours the whole product throughout, unlike a pigment or lake, which forms a suspension that can settle. It is used in products such as nail polish and blush.
- Eosine, the sodium salt of tetrabromofluorescein; the acid form is oil-soluble KOELOS-303.
- Colours cleansing bases and gels throughout while keeping them transparent.
- Gives a transparent colour with no hiding power; intensity is adjusted by concentration.
- D&C Red No. 22; declared in EU ingredient lists as CI 45380.
Applications: Nail polish, blush.
