Description:
SiCare 2500 is phenyl dimethicone – a polysiloxane in which some methyl groups are replaced by phenyl groups. At a low viscosity of 10–50 cps it has a refractive index of 1.4750, which translates into visible gloss. The phenyl groups improve miscibility with cosmetic oils, so it works well in bi-phase systems, lipsticks, lip glosses, hair oils, sun care and conditioners.

- Forms a smooth, low-tack, water-resistant film.
- High compatibility with cosmetic oils eases oil-phase formulation.
- Lowest viscosity of this group – a light option beside the thicker SiCare 2554 grades.
Applications: Bi-phase systems, lipsticks, lip glosses, hair oils, sunscreens, shampoos and conditioners.
